Drug smuggling prevented
Employees of the “Geytepe” and “Lankaran” border detachments of the State Border Service (SBS) of Azerbaijan stopped the smuggling of 11 kg 499 g of narcotic drugs and 3,956 tablets of psychotropic substances from Iran to Azerbaijan, oxu.az reports citing the press center of the SBS.
The border guards detained residents of the villages of Privolnoe, Jalilabad district, Faraj Abbaszade (born 2002), Erchivan, Astara district, the previously convicted Gunduz Imamaliev (born 1993), and the city of Lankaran, Kyanan Agayev (born 1982), who tried to illegally smuggle through border with a large shipment of drugs.
Investigations are ongoing on these facts.
