Chairman of the Supreme Court: Azerbaijan takes the necessary measures to implement the decisions of the European Court

On June 16, 2022, Baku hosted a conference on “Application of the European Convention on Human Rights in Azerbaijan: Legal Aspects and Challenges”, organized by the Baku Office of the Council of Europe, APA reports.

Ramiz Rzayev, Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan, delivered an opening speech at the conference. He noted that Azerbaijan always respects the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights and takes the necessary measures to implement them. In this context, it should be noted that, taking into account the case law of the European Court of Human Rights, dozens of new laws have been adopted and amendments have been made to legislative acts.
