Fraud suspect detained

Suspected of fraud woman for AZN 92,000 has been detained in Baku, oxu.az reports.

In 2018, Farida Guliyeva, a resident of the capital, gave 15,000 manats to her relative Gyzylgul Musayeva to buy an apartment on credit in a building located near the Nariman Narimanov metro station. She then paid her 2,000 manats a month.

In 2020, G. Musayeva advised F. Guliyeva to purchase a catering facility in this building instead of an apartment. For this, the victim paid another 15,000 manats. Realizing that she was deceived, F. Guliyeva turned to the Narimanov district police department. As a result of operational-search activities, the police detained G. Musayeva, suspected of fraud.

During the investigation, it was established that she transferred all the money she received to a friend who is engaged in gold trading in order to purchase precious metals abroad and sell it in Azerbaijan at a high price.

The damage to the victim was fully compensated. The investigation into this matter is ongoing.
