Ombudsman: An international court on the case of internally displaced persons should be convened
“During the period of occupation, Armenia committed crimes against our women and children. An international court should be convened for the fact that our citizens found themselves in the position of forced migrants.”
According to APA, Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) Sabina Aliyeva said this at a panel discussion on “Human Rights, Democracy and New Challenges in the 21st Century” within the IX Global Baku Forum.
In addition, the Ombudsman drew the attention of the forum participants to the environmental problems that arose as a result of the occupation of our lands by Armenia, and noted that a number of reports on environmental pollution had been prepared, in connection with which international institutions should thoroughly investigate them and bring the criminals to justice.
