The head of the news portal committed fraud

A court investigation has been launched on the criminal case of journalist Etibar Aliyev (Etibar Toghrul), who is accused of fraud, APA reports. An indictment was announced at the trial chaired by Judge Ilham Mahmudov at the Baku Grave Crimes Court.

The indictment states that Etibar Aliyev, introducing himself to the victims as an authorized person in the Karabakh Revival Fund, received a large amount of money from them.

The victims in their testimony stated that the accused promised that he would facilitate their participation in the construction work carried out in the territories liberated from occupation. He received a total of 123,000 manats from the victims.
E. Aliyev is charged under article 178.3.2 (Fraud committed with causing damage on a large scale) of the Criminal Code and a measure of restraint in the form of arrest was chosen against him.
