President Ilham Aliyev: After the Second Karabakh War, the process of building the army is going at a fast pace

“Today we celebrate Armed Forces Day in Kalbajar, in the liberated Kalbajar. At the same time, a military unit of the newly created commando forces is opening in Kalbajar today.” This was stated by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev during his speech at the solemn ceremony dedicated to the presentation of the combat banner of the military unit of the commandos as part of his visit to Kalbajar region on June 26, 2022 – the Day of the Armed Forces, APA reports.

The Supreme Commander-in-Chief stated that six months ago, on December 24, the first commando military unit was put into operation in the liberated Hadrut, which indicates that after the Second Karabakh War, the army building process is proceeding at a rapid pace, and the commando forces are on a par with all other armed formations have every opportunity to fulfill all the tasks facing the country, protect its territorial integrity and protect our borders.
