Criminal case of former tax service employees transferred to court

The preliminary investigation of the criminal case against Mirjavad Gashimov and Zakir Kazimov, accused of abuse of office and taking a bribe, has been completed, report.az news portal reports.

The case was submitted for consideration to the Lankaran Court for Grave Crimes. The criminal case will be considered under the chairmanship of Judge Ali Aliyev.

During the investigation, reasonable suspicions arose that Gashimov Mirjavad Farman oglu and Kazimov Zakir Mahmud oglu, who were employees of the State Tax Service, colluded and took bribes from citizens so as not to take operational tax control measures in connection with violations in the activities of taxpayers. Both are accused of violating articles 308.2, 311.3.1, 311.3.3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
