Cybersecurity requirements to be established in Azerbaijan

The country will establish requirements for the cybersecurity process, APA reports. This was reflected in the decree of President Ilham Aliyev on the application of the law “On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Information, Informatization and Protection of Information”.

According to the decree, the Cabinet of Ministers must, within 3 months after agreement with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, approve the procedure for ensuring the security of critical information infrastructure in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

According to the decree, the rules should define the requirements for the workforce, technological resources and processes of cybersecurity service providers and general requirements for the security of critical information infrastructure.
