Illegal delivery of drugs prevented

The illegal delivery of about 53 kg of drugs into Azerbaijan has been prevented, oxu.az reports with reference to the press center of the State Border Service.

It is noted that in recent days, the State Border Service employees have discovered and destroyed 1,200 bushes of wild-growing hemp, and the smuggling of 52 kg 880 g of drugs, 3 240 psychotropic pills and 42 kg 165 g of drugs from Iran has been prevented.

Raids were carried out in Yardimli, Bilasuvar, Zangilan, Fizuli, Astara regions. Five suspects have been detained. Based on these facts, operational and investigative measures are ongoing.
