An attempt to bring drugs into the country prevented

Employees of the Main Customs Department for Transport prevented an attempt to bring drugs into the country, oxu.az reports citing the press service of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.

Thus, during the X-ray inspection of the luggage of the passengers of the Baku-Doha flight, suspicious images were recorded in the lower part of the suitcase belonging to the citizen of the Maldives, Mohammed Naasyr.

Further, a service dog was brought in to inspect the luggage, which reacted to the suitcase. M. Naasyr was invited to the check room, where a thorough inspection of his luggage was carried out. As a result, 3,660 grams of heroin in a flat plastic bag were found in the bottom of the suitcase.

An investigation has been launched into this matter.
