Criminal case initiated against officials

The prosecutor’s office of the Shirvan region conducted an investigation on the appeal of citizen Ibragimajdar Hamidov about the sale by his brother of a land plot and a house inherited from his mother to another person on the basis of forged documents, haqqin.az reports.

Thus, the investigation established reasonable suspicions that employees of the Shirvan Territorial Department No. 13 for the State Cadastre and the Register of the State Committee for Property Issues deliberately entered false information into official documents, and also committed official forgery by making corrections that distorted their actual content in order to obtain material benefit.

A criminal case has been opened on the fact under Articles 308.1 (abuse of power) and 313 (official fraud) of the Criminal Code.

The investigation into the case is ongoing.
