Azerbaijani Electronic Security Service warned the population about the actions of scammers

Recently, cybercriminals have been sending messages to citizens on behalf of SOCAR and AzerGold about the alleged “implementation of an investment project”, asking for personal information such as first and last name, email address, mobile phone number “to participate in the project,” trend.az reports. referring to the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan.

In this regard, the Electronic Security Service urges citizens to be as careful as possible. So, when receiving information about investment projects or attractive campaigns on behalf of an organization, it is recommended, without providing personal data and without clicking on the specified link, to first check the accuracy of the information by contacting this organization or going to its official information Internet resource.

Citizens are also asked to report such situations to the Electronic Security Service via the “hot line” 1654 or through the Internet resource www.cert.az.
