A swindler who offered people non-existent vacancies was detained
A man was detained who offered citizens non-existent vacancies and extorted money from them in return, oxu.az reports citing the country’s Interior Ministry.
Thus, as a result of operational-technical and operational-search activities carried out by employees of the Main Department for Combating Organized Crime, the previously convicted Jamil Babirov was detained.
It was established that the man demanded that every citizen who applied to him transfer him 51 manats for registering an application for employment and 17 manats for issuing a relevant medical certificate. Then he transferred the funds transferred to him to his card and cashed them out, and blocked the numbers of citizens who turned to him.
During all this time, J. Babirov caused material damage to those who applied to him in the amount of more than 100,000 manats. Numerous bank cards, mobile phone numbers and other evidence of his guilt were found and confiscated from the detainee.
On this fact, a criminal case was initiated in the Main Department under the relevant article of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Citizens who have suffered from the illegal actions of this person are asked to contact the Department for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
