Documents on the fact of causing damage to nature were sent to the Prosecutor General’s Office

During the control measures carried out by the State Environmental Security Service of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the fact of illegal felling of trees on plots of shared lands in the village of Khuju, Lerik region, was revealed, oxu.az reports citing official representative of the state service Bahruz Mukhammedov.

He noted that during the investigation it was found that the trees were cut down by local residents – Islam Shabanov, Jahil Huseynov, Hidayat Rustamov, Elnur Rustamov and Farkhad Ibadov, damage to nature was caused in the total amount of 29,900 manats. Since the amount of damage constitutes a crime, the collected documents were sent to the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
