The thief of money from the cards of citizens was detained

As a result of operational-search activities carried out by officers of the Salyan district police department, a resident of the district, Akif Ibrahimov, was detained, who stole money from bank cards belonging to citizens, report.az news portal reported citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

So, during the investigation, he confessed to the crime and expressed regret. It turned out that A. Ibrahimov, standing in front of ATMs located in the district, first received the data of the cards of persons who asked him for help, and then informed the victims that there was no money on their cards. After the victims left, he added the card details to his mobile phone and transferred the funds on the card balance to his card.

On this fact, a criminal case was initiated in the investigative department of the Salyan District Police Department, and a measure of restraint in the form of detention was chosen against the detainee.

Police officers do not rule out the involvement of Akif Ibrahimov in other similar crimes.
