Person sentenced for selling drugs to schoolchildrens
The Baku Grave Crimes Court held a trial of Gunay Guliyeva (born 2002, given name and surname conditional), accused of drug trafficking, reports oxu.az. At a meeting chaired by judge Irada Hasanzade, the verdict was read out, the girl was sentenced to imprisonment for a period of 6 years.
According to the indictment, G. Guliyeva, who lives in the Binagadi district of Baku, by prior agreement with a group of people, transported a large amount of narcotic drugs in order to store and sell them.
As a result of an operational event carried out on the basis of information received in November 2021, G. Guliyeva was detained. About 4 g of homemade heroin and 11 tablets of a drug containing the potent substance methadone were found and confiscated from her.
It was established that G. Guliyeva also sold drugs to schoolchildren. Under the guise of sweets, she distributed drugs for free to students of the 7th and 8th grades of secondary school No. 179 in Binagadi village, and when the children developed addiction, she sold them prohibited drugs for 15-20 manats. The girl also admitted that because of this, she was beaten by the parents of schoolchildren.
She was charged under articles 234.4.1 and 234.4.3 (illegal manufacture, production, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their precursors, committed by a group of persons by prior agreement and on a large scale) of the Criminal Code AR.
