Police operation in Mingachevir: drug traffickers detained

On the basis of the information received, employees of the Mingachevir city police department carried out operational raids to counter illegal drug trafficking, as a result of which 11 suspects were detained, oxu.az reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Thus, as a result of operational-search activities, residents of the city were detained – Tural Makhmudov, Elkhan Hajiyev, Zakir Garayev, Rovshan Azayev, Zaur Gasimov, Azer Aliyev, Sakina Allahverdiyeva, Abbasali Gamzade, Faig Gasimov, Gabib Bagirov and Subkhan Abdullayev. During a personal search, as well as at their addresses, methamphetamine, heroin, opium and about 2 kg of marijuana were found and seized.

According to these facts, criminal cases have been initiated, an investigation is underway.
