The term of arrest for customs generals has been extended

The Sabail District Court of Baku has extended the term of arrest of the ex-director of the Azerterminalcomplex association Ekhtiram Khalilov and the former head of the Main Operations and Investigation Department Masum Rasulov, haqqin.az reports.

The term of imprisonment for E. Khalilov was extended for another 3 months, and for M. Rasulov – for another 4 months. Earlier, the Sabail District Court issued a decision to arrest Ehtiram Khalilov for 4 months, Masum Rasulov – for 3 months.

It is noted that the State Security Service conducted an operation in the State Customs Committee, as a result of which the director of the Azerterminalcomplex association, Ekhtiram Khalilov, the deputy head of the Main Customs Directorate for Water Transport Rashad Babayev, the head of the Department of Road Taxes and Control over Permit Forms Shukur Safarov, as well as the head of the Main Operational Investigation Department Masum Rasulov.

Subsequently, by order of the President, the chairman of the State Customs Committee, Safar Mehdiyev, was dismissed from his post
