Joint operation of the State Border Service and the State Customs Committee in the Fuzuli region

On October 16, at about 10:55, as a result of operational-search activities carried out jointly by employees of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan (SBS) and the State Customs Committee (SCC), 3 kg 340 g of a narcotic substance was found in a parcel near the village of Arayatily in the Fuzuli region , similar to marijuana, and 1,796 tablets of the psychotropic substance Methadone-40, reports the online news portal report.az, citing the press center of the State Border Service.

On October 15, at about 21:00, on the service territory of the frontier outpost of the Goytepe frontier detachment of the Border Guard Troops of the State Border Guard Service near the village of Samedabad, Bilasuvar region, the frontier squad discovered signs of a violation of the state border in the direction of Azerbaijan from Iran.

As a result of the searches, 5 kg 414 g of a narcotic substance similar to marijuana and 1850 Gabaprel-300 tablets were found in a bundle hidden in the border zone.

Both incidents are under investigation.
