The period of arrest of former officials of the State Customs Committee has been extended

Former Deputy Head of the Main Customs Department for Energy Resources and Maritime Transport of the State Customs Committee (SCC) Rashad Babayev and Head of the Department for Control of Road Taxes and Permit Forms of the Main Department for Regulation of Customs Tariffs and Payments Shukur Safarov have been extended the terms of arrest, according to the online news portal report .az

According to the decision, the terms of arrest of R. Babayev and Sh. Safarov were extended for another 3 months.

Both were detained on June 10, 2022 in the course of complex operational and investigative measures in a criminal case initiated by the State Security Service under Articles 311.3. On July 1, 2022, by a court decision, a preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen against them.
