20 people detained on suspicion of drug trafficking

As a result of operational activities carried out by the employees of the Jalilabad District Police Department on the basis of the information received, over the past month, 20 people were detained in the district on suspicion of drug trafficking, oxu.az reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan.

During a personal search, a total of more than 7 kg of drugs were found and confiscated from them. By a court decision in respect of 15 of them, a measure of restraint in the form of arrest was chosen.

Based on these facts, the necessary investigative and operational-search activities are ongoing. Police officers continue activities to identify and detain other persons involved in drug trafficking.
