An employee of the House of Culture is severely punished for attempting to kill his wife

The trial on the criminal case of former worker of the cultural center Elchin Aliyev, accused of stabbing his wife, has ended in the Ganja Court for Grave Crimes, oxu.az reports. E. Aliyev was sentenced to 11 years and 3 months in prison and will serve his sentence in a strict regime colony.

The incident took place in the Shamkir region in July 2022. Local resident Elchin Aliyev inflicted multiple stab wounds on his wife Talekha Aliyeva (b. 1985). Relatives took the woman to the hospital, the doctors managed to save her life.

E. Aliyev was detained, he was charged with attempted murder. In his testimony at the trial, he stated that he discovered his wife’s WhatsApp correspondence with another man, which prompted him to commit the crime.
