A Coordinating Council for Combating the Financing of Terrorism will be created
A procedure for intrastate cooperation is being determined within the framework of combating the legalization of property obtained by criminal means and the financing of terrorism, APA reports. This was reflected in the draft law “On combating the legalization of property obtained by criminal means and the financing of terrorism”, discussed today in the Milli Majlis.
According to the project, the Anti-Corruption Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan participates in the formation of state policy in the field of combating the legalization of property obtained by criminal means and the financing of terrorism, studies and summarizes the state of implementation of legislation in this area, and monitors the implementation of state programs.
For these purposes, the body (institution) determined by the relevant executive authority creates a Coordinating Council consisting of representatives of the relevant central executive authorities, investigative authorities, courts, other state bodies (institutions) and non-governmental organizations. The procedure for the work of the Coordinating Council is determined by the body (institution) determined by the relevant executive authority.
The bill was put to the vote and adopted in the last, third reading.
