Police seized over 36 kg of drugs

More than 36 kg of drugs were confiscated from a resident of Ganja, report.az news agency reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

As a result of operational-search activities carried out by officers of the 2nd police station of the Main Police Department of the city of Ganja, a resident of the city, Diana Mehdiyeva, was detained, suspected of illegal acquisition and storage of drugs. During a personal search, she was found to have 5.54 grams of marijuana.

Upon further examination, 6 bags of marijuana with a total weight of 36 kg 745 grams were found and seized, which were hidden by the suspect in one of the non-residential buildings in the city.

The matter is under investigation.
