Extended the term of arrest of the generals of the State Customs Committee

Petitions to extend the measure of restraint against the former director of the Azerterminalcomplex association under the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan Ekhtiram Khalilov and the former head of the Main Operations and Investigation Department of the State Customs Committee Masum Rasulov have been considered, oxu.az reports. At a meeting in the Sabail District Court, the petitions of the investigative body were recognized as substantiated.

According to the decision, the terms of arrest of E. Khalilov and M. Rasulov were extended for another three months.

E.Khalilov and M.Rasulov were arrested as a result of operations carried out by the State Security Service (SSS) of the Azerbaijan Republic. The generals were charged under articles 179.4 (appropriation of state property on an especially large scale), 308 (abuse of official powers), 311.3.2 (repeated bribery) and 311.3.3 (on a large scale) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
