The former minister fully compensated the damage caused to the state

The trial of the criminal case of the former Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Salim Muslimov continued, oxu.az reports.

At a meeting in the Baku Court for Grave Crimes, chaired by Judge Faig Ganiev, the court said that the damage in the amount of 20 million manats caused in the criminal case was fully compensated by the accused.

Salim Muslimov was arrested as a result of a special operation carried out by the State Security Service in 2021.

The ex-minister was prosecuted as a defendant under Articles 179.4 (misappropriation or embezzlement causing damage on an especially large scale), 308.2 (abuse of official powers with grave consequences), 311.3.2 and 311.3.3 (repeated receipt of a bribe on a large scale). size) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, after 13 months in prison due to health problems, he was placed under house arrest.

The next court hearing is scheduled for January 23, 2023.
