Large amount of drugs seized by police

In Baku, in the course of operations carried out by employees of the anti-drug department of the Nizami District Police Department, two suspects of drug trafficking were detained, oxu.az reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The police received information that a resident of the area named Elnur is engaged in the sale of drugs. Elnur Sultanov was detained and taken to the police department. During a personal search, 4 bags of heroin were found on him. The detainee said that he worked as a drug courier in Nizami and other districts of the capital on the order of his friend Hikmet Samedov.

In the course of further operational activities, the latter was also detained. In the car driven by Samedov, they found 2 kg 668 g of heroin and more than 5 kg of marijuana. The detainee said that he had purchased drugs for sale in Baku from a man named Baba, whom he met on social networks.

Based on these facts, a criminal case has been initiated.
