Ministry: increase in social payments will cover a total of 600 thousand people

The decrees and orders signed by President Ilham Aliyev as part of a new package of social reforms for 2023 provide for important steps aimed at improving the well-being of the population, increasing social payments for a number of categories, including families of martyrs, persons who have a disability due to the war. Thus, over the past five years, the fourth package of social reforms has been implemented, Report news agency reported.

According to the public relations department of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, decrees and orders of the President provide for an increase in social payments, which will cover a total of 660,000 people.

In 2023, under the new package of social reforms, an additional 750 million manat per year is provided for a further increase in social benefits, covering 1.9 million citizens.
