A criminal case has been initiated against the official

The prosecutor’s office of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) conducted an investigation into the misappropriation of state property by an official of the Nakhchivan Railways LLC, oxu.az reports citing information disseminated by the NAR prosecutor’s office. During the investigation, reasonable suspicions arose that the former employee of the LLC Ramin Mirzoev, using his official position, embezzled state property on a large scale.

Based on the evidence collected in the criminal case, R. Mirzoev was charged under Articles 179.2.3 and 179.2.4 (misappropriation or embezzlement, that is, theft of another’s property committed by a person using his official position and causing significant damage) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The preliminary investigation is currently ongoing.
