Criminal case initiated against officials who misappropriated state property

In connection with the violations of the law committed in the legal entity of public law “Khojavend Central District Hospital”, an investigation was conducted in the district prosecutor’s office, reports oxu.az.

Thus, during the investigation, reasonable suspicions arose that officials of the medical institution misappropriated state property on a large scale during 2020-2022.

On this fact, a criminal case was initiated under Articles 179.2.3 (misappropriation or embezzlement, that is, theft of another’s property committed by a person using his official position), 179.2.4 (the same acts committed with causing significant damage) and 308.1 (abuse of official powers) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Currently, the preliminary investigation of the case is ongoing.
