Prosecutor’s office on compensation for material damage in 2022

In 2022, as a result of the activities of the prosecution authorities, compensation for material damage in the amount of more than 71.5 million manats was provided, oxu.az reports. This was stated by the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev, speaking at an expanded meeting of the collegium of the department.

The Prosecutor General noted, that in criminal cases, the preliminary investigation of which has been completed in the prosecutor’s office, the infliction of material damage in the amount of 100,609,000 manats was established, of which 71%, that is, 71,566,000 manats, was recovered. He pointed out that, in accordance with the requirements of the criminal procedure legislation, the payment of 20,213,000 manats to the state budget by persons released from criminal liability was ensured.
