Head of the Penitentiary Service of NAR arrested
The head of the Penitentiary Service of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Major General of Justice Tofig Hasanov, was arrested, oxu.az reports. He was suspected of exceeding official authority, embezzlement on a large scale and accepting a bribe.
Earlier, T. Hasanov was detained in connection with a criminal case, the investigation of which is being conducted in the Main Investigation Department of the State Security Service.
The Sabail District Court, on the basis of a proposal from the investigating authority, chose a measure of restraint in relation to T. Hasanov in the form of detention for a period of four months.
