The head of an educational institution was arrested

The head of an educational institution was arrested in the Masalli region, oxu.az reports. Principal of the complete secondary school named after F. Khanjanov in the village of Musakyuche Ilgar Jahangirov was taken into custody.

According to the Lankaran-Astara Regional Department of Education, on January 31, 2023, the head of this educational institution was prosecuted as an accused under articles 178.2.2, 178.2.3, 178.2.4, 179.2.2, 179.2.3, 179.2 .4, 308.1 and 313 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan (following the results of an audit conducted last year by the Ministry of Finance, and for receiving a large amount of money from citizens under the pretext of employment).

On the basis of the prosecutor’s recommendation, the district court chose a preventive measure in the form of arrest against him.

It should be noted that I. Jahangirov has been the director of this educational institution since 2016.
