Police detained a suspect for stealing money from bank cards

Police officers identified and detained Yusif Maharramov (born 1990), suspected of committing a series of thefts, oxu.az reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. He presented himself on social networks and on online sales sites as a potential buyer of expensive phones, and, offering sellers a deposit, asked them for a 16-digit bank card number, after which he withdrew money from it. The man who stole money from more than 30 bank cards owned by individuals mainly used the phone numbers (070) 432-90-90 and (070) 564-58-58.

Victims of the actions of Y. Magerramov are asked to call the hotline 102 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

An investigation into this matter is ongoing.
