The head of the department of the Republican Psychiatric Hospital arrested

As a result of the operational-search activities carried out by the Main Anti-Corruption Department under the Prosecutor General, reasonable suspicions were revealed that the head of the department of the public legal entity of the Ministry of Health “Republican Psychiatric Hospital” Hussein Seyidov received a bribe from patients in exchange for issuing extracts from medical documents without treatment, Report news agency reported citing the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

In a criminal case initiated on this fact in the Main Directorate, Hussein Seyidov was charged under Articles 308.1 (abuse of official powers), 311.3.2 (repeated bribe-taking) and 313 (official fraud) of the Criminal Code and a measure of restraint was chosen on the basis of a court decision in the form of an arrest.

Investigative activities are ongoing.
