Ministry of Internal Affairs: Over the past 20 days, 250 kg of drugs have been seized from circulation in Azerbaijan

Over the past 20 days, 46 people have been detained in Azerbaijan in connection with drug trafficking, 250 kg of substances have been seized, Report news agency reported citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Thus, in the course of a complex of operations carried out by the Main Directorate for Combating Drugs in Baku and the regions of the country over the past 20 days, 5 organized gangs were detained, which included 46 people, one person was arrested for resisting the police with the use of firearms. 250 kg of various narcotic, psychotropic substances, electronic scales and 11 thousand tablets of ecstasy and methadone were seized from illegal circulation.
