The date of the next meeting of the Pardon Commission under the President of Azerbaijan has become known, Trend news agency reports. The next meeting of the commission will be held on April 5, 2023.

So far, about 1,300 appeals have been considered at the meetings.

Thus, according to the previous pardon order, signed last year, a total of 213 people were pardoned. 168 people were released from the unserved part of the sentence. The term of serving sentences of 36 people was reduced by half. Three convicts on probation were also released from punishment. In addition, 6 people sentenced to restriction of freedom were released from the unserved part of the sentence.
