Drug smuggling from Iran to Azerbaijan prevented

On April 4, 2023, at 21:25, drug smuggling from Iran was suppressed on the official territory of the Horadiz border detachment of the State Border Service (SBS) of Azerbaijan, oxu.az reports citing the press center of the SBS.

As a result of the operational measures taken, 16 kg of marijuana and 1,300 tablets of the psychotropic drug Methadone M-40 were found and seized.

An investigation into this matter is ongoing.
