Married couple charged with fraud

Baku Grave Crimes Court sentenced Agshin Abdullayev and his wife Leyla Abdullayeva (until today she was under police supervision), who were accused of fraud, reports oxu.az.

At the meeting, chaired by the judge of the Baku Grave Crimes Court Ahmed Guliyev, A. Abdullayev was sentenced to imprisonment for a period of 6 years and 6 months, and L. Abdullayev – for 4 years 11 months and 28 days. The woman was arrested right in the courtroom.

It is noted that in this case 5 people were recognized as victims. It is proved that they suffered damage in the amount of 107,000 manats. The spouses were charged under article 178.3.2 (Fraud causing major damage) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
