Extradited from Belarus to Azerbaijan

On June 8, 2023, an Azerbaijani citizen was extradited from Belarus to Azerbaijan, oxu.az reports with reference to the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

In a criminal case investigated by the Main Anti-Corruption Department under the General Prosecutor’s Office, in connection with reasonable suspicions of Agasamid Maharramov committing crimes related to fraud, production of forged official documents and their use, a decision was made to bring him as an accused under the relevant articles Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan. He was put on the international wanted list.

Agasamid Maharramov was detained in Belarus and brought to the country on June 8, 2023, accompanied by a special escort of the Penitentiary Service.
