Smuggling of a large consignment of drugs from Iran to Azerbaijan prevented

On June 24, 2023, at 23:10, on the territory of the outpost of the border detachment “Horadiz” of the border troops of the State Border Service (SBS) of Azerbaijan, located near the village of Boyuk Bakhmanli, Fizuli region, smuggling of narcotic drugs from Iran was prevented, narcotic drugs with a total weight were found and seized 8.2 kg, reports oxu.az with reference to the press center of the State Border Service.

It was noted that as a result of the operation, a resident of the Beylagan region Hasan Zeynalov (born 1987), who was engaged in drug smuggling, was detained.

Operational and investigative measures on this fact are ongoing.
