Drugs worth AZN 13 million withdrawn from circulation

Over the past 10 days, in the course of operations carried out by employees of the Main Department for Combating Drugs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan in the cities of Baku, Sumgayit, Lankaran, Absheron, Beylagan regions, as well as in other regions of the country, 31 people were detained who were smuggling drugs from Iran to Azerbaijan, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country.

According to the information, 243 kilograms of narcotic drugs worth 13 million manats were seized from illegal circulation.

On all facts, criminal cases were initiated under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and a measure of restraint in the form of arrest was chosen against the detainees.
