The Main Department for Combating Organized Crime conducted an operation: there are detainees

The Main Department for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs carried out another operation against gang members involved in drug smuggling from Iran to Azerbaijan, and persons illegally acquiring and storing weapons, there are detainees, oxu.az reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. 33 kg of drugs, two pistols, two assault rifles, a hunting rifle, 47 cartridges and three magazines were found and confiscated from the detainees.

On the facts, criminal cases have been initiated under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

A preventive measure in the form of arrest has been taken against the detainees, and operational and investigative measures are continuing.
