395 criminal groups neutralized in the first six months of 2023

This year, 395 criminal groups have been neutralized in Azerbaijan, oxu.az reports citing Report. It is reported that this was reported by the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Police Lieutenant General Seifulla Azimov, during a meeting of the collegium of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, dedicated to the results of operational activities for 6 months of 2023 and the upcoming tasks.

The speaker noted that the following results were achieved by the measures taken to combat organized crime: 395 criminal groups were neutralized; brought to justice 275 people illegally storing and carrying firearms; 2,921 kg of narcotic drugs were seized from illegal circulation, which is 946 kg more than in 6 months of the last year; 143 tons of illegally cultivated narcotic plants were destroyed.
