The trial of members of the group that intended to create the Kerime state began
A trial has begun in a criminal case against members of a group that intended to create the Kerime state. As APA reports, at the preparatory meeting of the Baku Court of Serious Crimes chaired by Judge Shalala Hasanova, the personal details of the accused were clarified.
The defendants’ lawyers asked for time to review the case. For this reason, the preparatory court hearing is scheduled for October 5.
It is noted that Rufulla Akhundzade and Bakhtiyar Bayramov, living in Iran and working with the intelligence services of this state, instructed Arif Dzhumshudov to form a so-called resistance detachment. The goal of the detachment members was to prepare armed clashes in the country, to forcefully seize power and change the constitutional system. The rebels intended to create a religious state in Azerbaijan in which Sharia law would apply.
