State Security Service: The remains of about 500 people were found in the liberated territories

As a result of the First Karabakh War, about 4 thousand people are listed as missing. As APA reports, this was stated by Deputy Chief of the State Security Service, Lieutenant General Sharafat Hasanov, at the farewell ceremony for National Hero Riad Akhmedov.

He noted that the search for missing persons is currently ongoing:

“In laboratories within the medical department of the State Security Service, we identified 25 of our martyrs. The process is still ongoing. The remains of about 500 military personnel and civilians have been discovered so far in the liberated territories.”
