A large amount of drugs was discovered: there are detainees

During operations in the Narimanov district of Baku, seven people involved in the importation of 24 kg of narcotic drugs into the country were detained, oxu.az reports with reference to the country’s Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to information, police officers continue operations to suppress drug trafficking.

During the operational activities, Hasan Hajizade (born 1993), Emil Aliyev (born 1991), Rufat Mehdiev (born 1987), Nariman Safarov (born 1999), Gamayil Abdullayev (1982) were detained born), Vugar Hasanov (born in 1986) and Yusif Mamedov (born in 1989). They were found in possession of 24 kg of drugs, including 9 kg of heroin, 3 kg of methamphetamine, 12 kg of marijuana, 800 methadone tablets and digital scales. The investigation established that they acquired drugs for the purpose of distribution, having previously entered into a conspiracy with Iranian citizens named Said and Abbas.

Based on these facts, criminal cases have been initiated under the relevant article of the Criminal Code of the Azerbaijan Republic.

It is noted that since the beginning of 2023, during operations carried out by employees of the Narimanovsky district police department, a total of more than 60 kg of various types of narcotic drugs have been seized from illicit trafficking.
