Over the next 3 years, up to 100 thousand displaced people are planned to return to their native lands. APA reports that this was stated in the address of President Ilham Aliyev to the participants of the 27th meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization.

According to the President, the “Great Return” program to the liberated territories is among the country’s national priorities. President Ilham Aliyev brought to attention that as part of the successful implementation of the program, the return of displaced persons to the cities of Lachin, Fizuli, the villages of Agaly, Zabukh and Talysh has been ensured to date: “In the next three years, up to 100 thousand displaced persons are planned to return to their native lands. The ongoing projects will serve not only the revival of the Karabakh and East Zangezur economic regions and sustainable settlement, but will also create favorable conditions for the transformation of these territories into a highly developed region.”
