Azerbaijani society supports the signing of a peace treaty with Armenia
Taking into account the positive dynamics towards the signing of a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the Center for Social Research (CSR) conducted a survey among the population to determine the public’s attitude to this issue, APA reports with reference to the CSR. Respondents were asked to answer the question “Do you support the signing of a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia?” The absolute majority (80.9%) of survey participants supported the signing of a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia. 18.3% of respondents took the opposite position and did not support the signing of the peace treaty, and 0.8% of respondents found it difficult to express their opinion on this issue.
According to the analysis of the results from a gender perspective, 85.1% of men and 76.7% of women supported the signing of a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Data collection for the current survey took place from October 5 to October 9, 2023. The surveys were conducted in the form of telephone interviews in 12 economic regions and involved 385 respondents over 18 years of age.
The survey was conducted in cities and regions, maintaining gender equality of respondents in proportion to the population. Considering the number of respondents covered by the survey, the margin of error in the results is 5% with a confidence interval of 95%.
