In Azerbaijan, social security spending increases by 62%

In 2024, 521 million manat or 1.4% of Azerbaijan’s state budget expenditures will be allocated for social protection expenses, oxu.az reports with reference to the press service of the Republic’s Ministry of Finance.

According to the data, this is 62.3% more than the approved 2023 forecast. Expenditures on social security will amount to 11.5% of expenditures on social security.

It is noted that next year budget revenues are projected at 34 billion 173 million manats, and expenses – 36 billion 763 million manats.
